Looking for Love?
More and more people are looking to the internet to find their true love these days, but many don't know where to begin.  Many people luck out in chat rooms, others wander the net aimlessly.  Something you might want to look at is our internet personal page, and find a service your comfortable with.  Your own network of friends are a great source online and offline, if they know somebody with looks and smarts, get your e-mail addresses swapped.  It can be a great way to find out about each other and to get a glimpse of their personality.

Ready for a CyberDate?
So you've met someone through a chat room, or someone has set you up through e-mail, and you're looking to get to know the person a little better.  Dating over the internet gives people a little extra security, and relies more heavily on your personality than your waist size.  Here's some tips for the social hipsters in cyberspace:

Send a Card
Go to a site like egreetings and find a card that speaks to your heart (ah!).  Suggest a secluded chat room you can meet at and a time, or better yet use an instant messaging service like Yahoo! Messenger.  Put on your best font and let the good times role.

Dedication Site
I can't think of anything that could be cuter than a web site made just for your sweetheart.  I suggest a site that features links to their favorite sites, search engines, and a site you think would be cool for them to check out.  Only you know what the limits are here in terms of what your love will think is weird, and what is sweet, so caution is suggested for those of you in the early stages of a relationship.

Ready for the real thing?
The first live date can be a bit scary, so do all you can to diffuse the situation.  First pick a neutral location, like a coffee shop you both know, and agree to meet there just to be safe.  Trust is a very important thing, and no matter how long you've been talking or e-mailing each other, there is a certain amount of trust that will need to be built in order for the relationship to flourish in the real world.  Try bringing some a gift to make a good first impression, and remember to relax.  If things work out, stay close to your roots, and keep doing the little things over the net that brought you two together in the first place.
